Support the Library on Arizona Gives Day
April 9 is Arizona Gives Day, a day for Arizonans to come together to make donations to nonprofit organizations. Arizona Gives is a one-day, online giving event allowing you to contribute to any Arizona nonprofit of your choice through a central web site.

Support Sedona Public Library on April 9, between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m., by clicking here to visit the Library's Arizona Gives web page.

Sedona Public Library is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that depends on support from generous individuals like you. Your tax-deductible gift helps keep vital services free for residents and visitors.
Keep Track of Your Checkouts
Ever wanted to recommend or re-read a book you borrowed from the Library, but couldn't remember the title or author? Now you can refer back to a record of your checkout history in the catalog. You can activate this setting in your account by following these steps:
  1. In the catalog, log in to your library account using your card number and PIN.
  2. Click on the link to My Account.
  3. Under the Personal Information tab, expand the Preferences heading by clicking on it.
  4. Click the boxes "Show my checkout history" and "Record my checkout history."
  5. Click the Update button to save the changes.
Once you check the boxes, the system will display your checkout history only from that day forward. It will not track any information from before. To view the history, you must first check in at least one item. You will then see the My Checkout History heading below My Current Checkouts.
March Movies at the Library
With five movies showing at the Library in March, we've got something for everyone, including action, drama, comedy, and romance.

On March 3, Latino Services presents the Spanish-language romantic comedy "Pulling Strings." "All Is Lost," starring Robert Redford, is playing on March 10. On March 17, we're screening director Ron Howard's latest film, "Rush." On March 24, join us for the feel-good romantic comedy "About Time." Winner of several Oscars, "Dallas Buyers Club" is our March 31 selection. All films start at 6 p.m. on Mondays in the Si Birch Community Room.
Free Tax Help and Health Screenings
The AARP's free Tax-Aide service is very popular again this year, and it will run through Tuesday, April 15. Volunteers are available in the Si Birch Community Room on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Tax-Aide service is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Also, don't miss the free health screening taking place on Wednesday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Provided by Northern Arizona Healthcare, the screening measures cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and blood glucose.
On Display at the Library
  • Verde Valley Land Preservation presents "A River Runs Through Us," an exhibition running from March 1 through April 12. An artists' reception will be held on Friday, March 7, from 5 to 8 p.m.
For this display, selected visual artists participated in a river trip on the Verde River and then created artwork inspired by the experience. The traveling exhibition features an ongoing fundraising auction to raise money for research and education projects designed to promote the sustainability of the Verde River Corridor. For more information about the online auction and to preview the exhibition, click here.
  • The City of Sedona Design Competition for Barbara's Park exhibit table and posters remain on display through March 22.
