Health Screening
The Library will offer a free health screening on Wednesday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Si Birch Community Room. Provided and funded by Northern Arizona Healthcare, the screening is designed to assess the risk of diabetes and heart disease by measuring cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and blood glucose. No fasting is required, and no appointment is necessary.

Movies in March
Starting in March, the first Monday of the month is Foreign Film Night at Flicker Shack! This month's foreign selection is a 2015 German-language film. Join us for this subtitled movie and other free screenings beginning at 6 p.m. in the community room.
  • March 7: Labyrinth of Lies, about an idealistic German prosecutor who uncovers a trail of evidence that helps initiate a trial against former members of the SS in Auschwitz.
  • March 14: Grandma, starring Lily Tomlin as a prickly grandmother whose granddaughter unexpectedly appears, needing $600 before sundown.
  • March 21: Suffragette, a drama about the women willing to lose everything in their fight for equality and the right to vote in early-20th-century Britain.
  • March 28: The Danish Girl, featuring Eddie Redmayne's Oscar-nominated performance of a Danish painter torn by societal norms and restrictions while trying to transition from male to female.
March Break and Youth Services
This month, Sedona will be welcoming many young visitors as March school break happens throughout the country. The actual week varies from state to state, so we typically see new faces in Sedona all month long. We encourage visitors to participate like locals at the Library!
We have three drop-in story time classes every week for the under six crowd, featuring read aloud stories, songs and rhymes, simple signing, and craft activities. Kaleido Gears, Snap Circuits, Roominate, Perplexus, and a Makey Makey are always available for the curious and creative older child, and of course we can help you find just the right book for a good red rock read. Use grandma's library card, or get a short-term card by providing a refundable deposit.

For details about youth programming, view the library calendar or call 928-282-7714, ext. 119.
Tax Help Continues in March
The AARP's free Tax-Aide service is very popular again this year, and it will run through Saturday, April 16. Volunteers are available in the community room on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Tax-Aide service is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
iPad/iPhone Workshop
iPad/iPhone users are invited to attend the ongoing Oak Creek Apples workshops. This month's workshop will be held on Sunday, March 20, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the community room.

Please register by e-mailing [email protected], as class size is limited.
