Volunteer Lunch Spring 2012
Sandy, Linda, Carol, & Janet

Pictured are four of our many exceptional

volunteers: Sandy Manno, Linda Schermer, Carol Mehle, and Janet Fontaine. Sandy and Janet have each assisted at the Circulation Desk for 5 years, checking in and checking out items. Carol has served as a greeter and shelver for 5 years. Linda has given 10 years, as a shelver and coordinating the Library's Monday Night Movies.

If you are interested in volunteering, click here or stop in and ask for a volunteer application form.

YouTube
Sedona Public Library is proud to unveil our new YouTube channel, which may be found here. Featured videos include instructional videos on using library services (like how to borrow e-books using your Kindle or other e-reader), original programming (such as Sedona i-Talks, an event held before a standing-room-only audience at the Library on March 24), and regional interest videos about Sedona.
Parking Lot Maintenance

Parking lot maintenanceThank you for your patience while we sealed and restriped the parking lots at the end of April.  The Library raised private funds to construct the library building, and keeps up on maintenance of the building and grounds with funds that are donated to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

To keep your Library looking beautiful, please send your tax-deductible donation to: Sedona Public Library, 3250 White Bear Road, Sedona, AZ 86336. Or, you can make a donation online using the Donate button on the sidebar.

Williams Rug Painting
Don't miss the Rotating Artists Program at SPL in the Village. The exhibit of Sedona Red Rock High School art students continues through Saturday, May 19. Jill Williams's exhibit "Painting in Pairs" opens Tuesday, May 22, with an artist's reception Wednesday, May 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Pictured is a sample of her work.

Also in the Village, Larry Edmonds will share a living-history presentation of Carl Hayden on Wednesday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Sedona Winds, 405 Jacks Canyon Road.  Hayden was a member of the U.S. Congress from 1912 until 1968, as Arizona's first representative, and then as a senator.  He was involved with the decades-long dispute over Arizona's water rights to the Colorado River. This Arizona Humanities Council program is free and open to the public.
