Saturday, November 4
5pm - 7pm
| |
Join us for the opening reception of island photographer Alida O’Loughlin’s exhibit, Treasured Light, which will be on display in the program room through the month of November. She says of the show: “Growing up in Holland, close to the North Sea, there was always a special kind of light, an interplay between the sky, the clouds, the wind, the water and whatever sunlight might bring shadows. The light is magnificent on and around Martha’s Vineyard. There are all these sudden moments when I see the composition of the elements...I hope the viewer will find some enjoyment of recognition in what my eyes and camera experienced.”

Chef Look Cooks - The Batter Series: Crepes
Thursday, November 9
3pm - 4:30pm
| |
Come hungry to our next in-person Chef Look Cooks program all about batters. This month we’ll be thinking thin, but we’re not talking about eating healthy. Thin batters like the one we’ll use for crepes rely heavily on strong protein bonds to keep them together. The importance of good eggs as well as fluffy flour will be apparent in these lovely, paper-thin treats. Basic crepe batter has a neutral flavor that works well with a variety of fillings. You’ll get a chance to experiment with all sorts of fun combinations of fillings in your own crepe. Registration is required.
