David Byrne of Talking Heads fame visits a fictional Texas town and meets various colorful and musical characters.
The 1986 film is 89 minutes long and rated PG.
Utah Poet Laureate: Paisley Rekdal

Moab Library Large Meeting Room
Utah's current Poet Laureate, Paisley Rekdal, will visit the Moab library to read from her work and discuss her writing. She is an award winning writer and has published multiple books and poetry collections.

Bring your own lunch and join us for a TED inspired lunch hour. Over lunch, we will watch recorded talks related to the theme: Compassion. Light refreshments will be served.

Library Closures
The library will be closed Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday.

The library will close at 5pm on Monday, December 31 and will be closed all day on Tuesday, January 1 for the New Year's holiday.

KZMU Audio Book Club
We will be on air with Back of Beyond Books at 5pm on Monday, December 3 for KZMU's monthly Audio Book Club! The show will include a discussion of what we're reading, bestsellers, book reviews, and local literary events.
