From the Director's Desk...
|
August was a very busy month at CPL. Our Youth Services Department worked hard on our Summer Reading Program for youth. They had to wrap up a little earlier this year due to our move to Munger Cottage. On top of that they packed up what they needed to bring with them to be able to work, as did the rest of the staff.
On August 17 and 18, we packed more and moved things we needed at Munger Cottage to the vestibule so we could get them early Monday morning. Monday, August 21, we packed lots of boxes, furniture, etc. into our vehicles and lugged it all to our temporary location.
In early August, staff member Brenda Goldfarb worked to find locations for CPL to run Adult programs, and the Town and Village have graciously offered us space. Please check our calendar to find out where programs will be located while we are in our temporary spot.
Please bear with us while we make the CPL building more efficient and accessible to all. Hope to see you all at Munger!

Construction is well underway in our building, as these pictures show! We've moved our operations to Munger Cottage (40 Munger Drive) and are open for business to handle your basic circulation and reference needs. We also have notary service by appointment. Unfortunately, no computers, printing, copying or faxing are available at this time. Since we do not have access to our collection, we recommend you order your materials from other RCLS libraries to pick up at Munger. Not sure how to do that? Just give us a call at 845-534-8282 and we can help.
Wish you could browse the collection? Now is the perfect time to use that valuable Cornwall card to visit other libraries in the RCLS system.* Click here for a complete list of member libraries.
What about programs? Limited programming is still taking place, just in lots of locations around town. Take a look below for more information on all our great offerings and where they are being held.
We anticipate construction to be complete by the beginning of October. Check our website and social media for the latest updates.
*West Point residents with a Local Access card will need to continue ordering their materials for pick-up at our satellite location during our construction closure.
