New Adaptive Technology Stations at SAPL
The Library is excited to announce the launch of the REVIVE Santa Ana funded Adaptive Technology PC station! The launch includes computer hardware and software at both the Main and Newhope libraries. Both stations feature a traditional mouse and a keyboard with a large key font. Other input options include a trackball, a USB clicker, a trackpad (with gesture support) and the TrackerPro 2. The TrackerPro 2 is a camera that allows users to move the mouse cursor with just their head! Along with these peripherals, the ClearView C display is both a computer monitor and a digital video magnifier. Patrons can use the built-in camera to zoom in on documents, books, and magazines. We look forward to providing tools that can adapt to and accommodate the needs of our patrons!
MMIP Exhibition
Indigenous photographer, Nicole Merton, returns to the Santa Ana Public Library to share her most recent exhibit, Here, Our Voices. Merton is a descendant of the Isleta Pueblo Indian Tribe, and her work documents the impact of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) movement on Native American communities. The exhibit will be displayed on the second floor of the Main Library from November 5, 2022, through March 31, 2023.
