For families of all ages
Join the  Champaign Urbana Symphony's String Quartet as they perform favorite melodies from Pinocchio , Cinderella , Snow White , Sleeping Beauty , Beauty and the Beast , The Little Mermaid , Coco , and Frozen along with projected pictures. The concert will feature Janice Lee and Eun Namkung (violin), Jieyeon Schleicher (viola), Barbara Hedlund (cello), and Ronald Hedlund (narrator).

MakerGirl

MakerGirl is a nonprofit organization that inspires girls to be active in STEM through 3D printing workshops. During each workshop, students learn how 3D printing works, how it is being used in the world, and they each will design and print their very own 3D object.

Come celebrate National Library Week with Library staff and Mayor Marlin! Mayor Marlin will be a special guest this week and will read a story about libraries! Join in the fun as we sing songs and listen to stories in this energetic story time.

Cat lovers, mark your calendars for our 3rd annual Cat and Snack program! This year the wonderful volunteers of Catsnap will be bringing some kitty ambassadors for cat massages (as in you massage the cat obviously). We will be making cat crafts and cat toys, making our own delicious snack, and enjoying an endless loop of our favorite cat videos. This is an all ages, all skill level, drop in program. ME---OW!!

Puppetry Guild

Celebrate National Puppetry Day with the Central Illinois Puppetry Guild! All ages are welcome to join in and make a simple puppet. Stop by the Puppet Petting Zoo too and try your hand at puppetry!
Young Artist's Studio: Madhubani Art
Sunday, April 28 | 3:00 - 3:45 p.m.
The Lewis Auditorium (Ground Floor)
Explore traditional folk painting from Northern India! Join local artist Shraddha Tiwari as she shares Madhubani Art, practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. Painting is done with fingers, twigs, and brushes and is characterized by eye-catching geometrical patterns.

Art supplies are provided. Dress comfortably and get ready to roll up those sleeves!

For children ages 5 and up (or younger with an adult helper)
The  Young Artist's Studio  is a series of art workshops sponsored by  The Urbana Free Library  and the  Urbana Public Arts Program  designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts!
