Adventure and excitement await! Fairy tale lovers of all ages are invited to an evening of stories, crafts, games, and entertainment. Don your shiny suit of armor or sparkly ball gown, or dress like your favorite fairy tale character, and join us for an evening of fantasy and frivolity.

Free Comic Book Day

To celebrate Free Comic Book Day, come sharpen your superhero skills. Save the city, answer superhero trivia, and pick your own free comic! Come in costume to show off your superhero style!

In partnership with  G-Mart  and the  Champaign Public Library .

We're kicking off summer reading with a party! Come dance and move to Zecca Bom - one of CU's hottest bands. They play music that grooves, inspired by Brazilian soul and reggae. Enjoy free ice cream, make a craft, do an activity and sign-up for summer reading.

Young Artist's Studio:
Kids Make Zines

Join us for the next installment of our Young Artist’s Studio featuring zine-making with local artist, Hila Kelly, UCIMC Zine Librarian! What's a zine (pronounced 'zeen')? Come learn about small-circulation self-published books, comix, art and how to make your own zines! Youth participants will create zines to take home. Art supplies are provided. Dress comfortably and get ready to roll up those sleeves!

For children ages 5 to 11 (7 and under with a caregiver).

The  Young Artist's Studio  is a series of art workshops sponsored by  The Urbana Free Library  and the  Urbana Public Arts Program  designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts!
