April is National Poetry Month

This National Poetry Month, Saratoga Springs Public Library will celebrate the poetry of Denise Duhamel with not one, but two programs. Presidential Inaugural poet for Barack Obama's second term, Richard Blanco says of Duhamel, “Denise is a colleague and one of the first persons I read that allowed me to see the possibility of using humor and sarcasm and all those kinds of things in poetry that actually get to a greater truth than when we are being “deep.” Links to both programs, additional information, and the ability to register are listed above. We encourage you to join us as we welcome Denise and her amusing and thought-provoking work to SSPL.

The 51st annual Earth Day, themed Restore our Earth ™, involves three days of climate action, April 20-22, 2021. EarthDay.org offers 51 actions that you can try in order to make a difference. Saratoga Springs Public Library would like to support you along your learning and action journey through programs and collections.

So far this year, we've enjoyed a wonderful programming line-up, some fascinating discussions, and a full SaratogaREADS! Junior Discussion program! Library Service Update

Beginning Monday, April 5, the library’s temporary opening hours will expand to: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday. We will continue to be closed on Sundays for now.

Over the last year, our librarians and presenters from a great many Saratoga Springs community organizations have been diligently working to produce online content for our YouTube channel.
