Growing Towards Sustainability
Repair Café is Back at SSPL
Our next Repair Café is on Saturday, December 9th from 1 to 4 p.m. in the H. Dutcher Community Room at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. If you have a sentimental item that is in storage, something you want to gift for the holidays but it's not working quite right, clothing that has a moth hole or a loose hem, or perhaps you need another notch in your belt - the Repair Cafe is a chance to work collaboratively with a volunteer coach that provides tools, advice and guidance to try and fix your beloved object.
Repair Cafés are free community events with the goals of repairing broken objects to extend their life, keeping things out of landfills, and fostering an appreciation for the art of repairing things. In collaboration with Sustainable Saratoga, we will have volunteer coaches to assist with jewelry, leather, computers and some electronics, textiles, small appliances, lamps, mechanical toys, clocks, wood and furniture. Please limit repairs to one per household. If there is time, we can accommodate multiple repairs.
