Program in Hand?

The Hard Copy or Digital Program Guide for May & June

SSPL prints limited quantities of our Program Guide, which covers two months of programming at a time. This option is for those who wish to have a physical document highlighting our offerings. If you are comfortable with an online format, we encourage you to help us conserve resources by choosing that option, and visiting our online link to the guide or our Events Calendar at www.sspl.org where you will find these, other programming, details, and have the ability to register.

Growing Towards Sustainability

SSPL Cuts Back on Paper Usage and Waste

The Saratoga Springs Public Library has been working hard to reduce our paper and ink usage over the past 5 years. Reducing the size of our program posters and our Program Guide are just two ways.

Here are a few ways that you can help us reduce the number of copies we make:

  1. Take a picture of a program poster
  2. Sign up for a program and get an email reminder (you can cancel if your plans change)
  3. Use our QR codes to look at our Program Guide or online Events Calendar at www.sspl.org.
  4. Follow us on Social Media for information on programs and events: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  5. Share the Program Guide with family, friends, or your neighbors

New Friends Coffee Shop!

More about The Selfish Giant: At the edge of the village was a large lovely garden with soft green grass and beautiful flowers like stars. And every afternoon, as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the garden. But the garden belongs to a giant who had been away for many years. When he returns, the giant is outraged to see the children enjoying themselves on his land — so he builds a big wall to keep them out! But the wall keeps out more than the children, and the garden falls into perpetual winter as the Selfish Giant finds himself isolated and all alone.
