PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT

Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series:

Saratoga History Using Images from the Bolster Collection

The George S. Bolster photographic collection provides historians with 325,000 images that help tell the story of Saratoga Springs. Through a series of specially selected images, local favorite Charlie Kuenzel will tell many stories of Saratoga Springs with facts that are revealed in those images. This program will take place from noon - 1 p.m. Thursday, September 8th either in-person in the H. Dutcher Community Room or Online. Please register online through this link. The Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series is co-sponsored with the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT

A Photographic Tour of the Pacific Northwest

Join Mo & Jim Coutant, photographers and longtime Adirondack Mountain Club chapter members, for a brief recap of the Pacific Northwest portion of their recent cross-country trip. The couple explored the scenery while trying to avoid the smoke from the wildfires. As most of the country seemed to be in the smoke zone, exploring the coast became the best option. Eventually, Mo and Jim had to head home, and checked off their list a couple of new National Parks along the way. See the great scenery of the National Parks and coastline and learn how the Coutants travelled across the county with no reservations or real plan! Join us from 7 - 8 :30 p.m. on Thursday, September 15th in the H. Dutcher Community Room. Co-sponsored by the Adirondack Mountain Club Glens Falls - Saratoga Chapter. Registration is not required, but seating is limited.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT

They Wore What?

Historical Heroines Kicking @$$ in a Corset

Have you ever wondered how your favorite historical women from book and screen could go about their adventures while wearing all those layers, plus a corset? Weren't they hot? How could they breathe? Librarian and experienced "old-timey-clothes-wearer," Caitlin Sheldon will demonstrate with props and diagrams. Please join her Thursday, September 29th at noon in the H. Dutcher Community Room. Register here.
