From December 16-22, our storytimes will feature books about holiday celebrations from around the world (and near you!).
Please note: Storytimes will take a break from Monday, December 23 through Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Winter MakerClub / MakerClub de invierno
Join us at the Downtown Library Makerspace from December 23-January 3 for Winter MakerClub! For kids ages 3 to 13, drop in and create winter themed projects. New projects will be available daily.
Winter MakerClub is on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays: 10am-1pm

Redwood City & San Mateo County Toy Drive
Santa is gearing up to spread joy by delivering toys through the annual Redwood City & San Mateo County Toy & Book Drive. Families wishing to be added to the Christmas Toy and Book Drive can sign up through December 4. All sign-ups must be done in person at the Fair Oaks Community Center at 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City. Questions? Call 650-780-7500 for assistance.

Hometown Holidays
On Saturday, December 7 from 10am-6pm, get ready for a jolly day of festive fun at Redwood City’s Hometown Holidays! Whether rain or shine, downtown and Courthouse Square will be packed with fun for the whole family. Enjoy a spectacular parade, live entertainment, thrilling carnival rides, and a petting zoo. Snap a photo with Santa and explore holiday vendors offering delicious treats and festive goods. Visit the library at our booth for special holiday cheer!

Winter Wonderland & Kids Merry Marketplace
Saturday, December 14

Red Morton Community Center
Join us for an enchanting winter evening filled with cookie decorating, bouncing on inflatables, and enjoying a cozy hot cocoa station. Don't forget to bring your camera—Santa will be there for photo opportunities! You can also visit our Merry Marketplace, where young ‘kidpreneurs’ will be selling their holiday creations, perfect for holiday shopping. The marketplace is free for all to attend, but you'll need an Activity Band to participate in all other activities. More information

Tai Chi @ Redwood Shores

Hatha Yoga
With extensive yoga teaching expertise and practice, Padmini completed her International Yoga Teacher’s certification from the Sivananda Ashram, Kerala, India and training in advanced Yoga Therapy from the SVYASA University. She teaches students at all levels including adaptations for anyone with limitations.
