What's New in ECLIPSE
Thanks to your feedback, we’re finding new ways to communicate important updates. Visit the What’s New section on your eCLIPSE homepage to stay informed about the latest changes that may impact how you do business with L&I.
A new feature recently introduced includes:
My Violation Page
A new 'My Violations' tab is now available at the top of the eCLIPSE homepage, allowing contractors to easily access their company’s violation information in one place. Contractors can view outstanding violations, check unpaid fines, and initiate payments directly online- making it easier to track violations, resolve outstanding balances, and maintain compliance.
In addition, a courtesy email will be sent to the contractor’s email on file when a new violation is issued.

Courtesy Notices for Expired Licenses
L&I ISC is providing courtesy notices to license holders whose licenses have been expired for less than three years, reminding those still operating to renew. The notice is an invoice showing the amount currently due to renew the license and continue the licensed activity.
Have questions? Review our Delinquent License Notice FAQ for information about expired licenses, renewal, and outstanding fees and penalties.

Property Tax Flag on Permits - Effective October 1, 2026
Certain permits will be withheld when a property has unpaid real estate taxes, fees, or liens. All outstanding debts must be resolved with the Department of Revenue before the permit can be issued.
Affected permits include:

- Zoning permits granted by variance or special exception

Pre-requisite Dust Control Permit - Effective October 1, 2026
Projects involving 5,000 square feet or more of earth disturbance must include a Dust Control Permit from the Department of Public Health, Air Management Services (AMS), with the demolition, building, or site permit application before L&I can issue the permit.
The Dust Control Permit may be obtained up to one year before the anticipated start of work. Review the Dust Control Permit Requirements or contact AMS with questions.
|
Initial Inspection Scheduling - Maximum Notice - Effective October 1, 2026
An initial inspection request may be submitted no more than 14 days before the anticipated start of work. Early requests will be cancelled and may result in penalties.
Review Code Bulletin A-2601 Construction Start of Work for information on what constitutes the start of work, how it affects permit expiration, and potential penalties for submitting an initial inspection request too early.
|
Proactively Schedule Violation Reinspection
When a violation is issued, owners are typically given 5 to 35 days to correct it, as specified on the notice. L&I will automatically conduct a follow-up inspection after that period, but owners who correct violations sooner can request an earlier reinspection. L&I QOL and ISC have developed a joint form to streamline these requests.
Submit a reinspection request or visit the L&I Code Enforcement webpage for more information.
