Welcome Back, Da Vincians!

What a joyful start to the 2025–26 school year—our 17th Anniversary! These first weeks have been filled with laughter, excitement, team building, and learning as we welcomed back our returning students and staff, along with our newest Da Vincians.

Our signature practices have helped students feel seen, supported, and connected, laying the foundation for caring, close-knit communities.

To capture the spirit of the new year, we asked students and families to share what they’re looking forward to in 2025-26.

Stephanie Gualotuna’s Journey from Wiseburn

to Da Vinci to Nursing

Figuring out life after high school is rarely straightforward. Many students graduate with a plan, only to find life takes unexpected turns. That was especially true for the Class of 2020, who faced the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic. For Wiseburn and Da Vinci alumna Stephanie Gualotuna, those challenges became stepping stones—leading her toward

a career in nursing.

Investing in People, First and Always

At Da Vinci, investing in people isn’t the exception—it’s the rule. Da Vinci teachers receive 20 days of professional development (23 for new teachers) spread throughout the school year—an intentional investment that reflects our belief that when teachers thrive, students thrive.

Supporting the Health & Wellness of All Students

We are committed to supporting the health and wellness of all students at Da Vinci Schools. We know that when students feel supported socially and emotionally, they are better able to thrive academically and personally. We want to share the resources available to you and your family—both on our campuses and through our community partners—as well as new opportunities through the California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).

WDV Athletics Kick-Off to the 2025-26 Season

We hope our student-athletes and their families had some restful time off and enjoyed the summer break. Many of our athletes have used this time to stay active through Summer in Wiseburn activities and preseason athletic trainings, staying engaged with what promises to be another action-packed year for Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics.

Record Interest in Wiseburn Da Vinci Performing Arts

The stage is calling!

Recent informational meetings for Into the Woods and the Voices of DV Choir drew an incredible turnout—35 students eager to sing in choir, 82 excited to join the cast and crew of Into the Woods, and nearly 80 performers-in-the-making from Connect TK-8 signing up for choir and theatre. Interest is also strong in performing arts seminars, including Acting, Music Production, Drum Ensemble, Studio Orchestra, and Stagecraft. The enthusiasm makes one thing clear: the passion for Wiseburn Da Vinci Performing Arts is thriving!

Our Community Showed Up

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the Red Cross Blood Drive held on campus earlier this month. With just a few days’ notice, our community rallied together and raised 18 lifesaving units of blood—including 17 presenting donors and two successful Power Red donations.

This incredible turnout means up to 57 lives may be saved. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and willingness to step up when it was needed most.

There is a critical need for blood donors. Please consider donating today.
