Gratitude

As we close out 2025, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our students, staff, board members, partners, supporters, Wiseburn Unified School District, the Wiseburn Education Foundation, and—most importantly—the families who choose Da Vinci Schools and trust us with your children’s education.

This year, all Da Vinci schools earned the highest level of accreditation, expanded innovative pathways for college and career success, and received national recognition for our leadership in college- and career-based education as well as hybrid learning.

As we look ahead, we invite you to make a tax-deductible year-end gift to the school or program of your choice. Your support helps us meet emerging needs and ensure every Da Vinci student is prepared for college, career, and life.

Beyond the Test: Students Demonstrate Mastery and Growth in Da Vinci Presentations of Learning

At Da Vinci Schools, Presentations of Learning (POLs) are a defining part of the student experience. Instead of relying solely on traditional finals, students in grades TK-12 participate in timed oral presentations at the end of each semester or academic year. POLs give students the opportunity to reflect on their learning and growth, demonstrate mastery of essential skills aligned with state content standards, and articulate their understanding in ways that go far beyond test-taking. POLs also build students’ confidence and strengthen community as families, peers, and educators come together to celebrate each student’s journey.

Reviving the Reef Through Learning, Art, and Action

This January, Da Vinci Connect Core 5 student artwork will be on public display at El Camino College and AltaSea, marking an exciting and meaningful milestone for our middle school students. The exhibitions feature work created during a first-semester interdisciplinary project titled Revive the Reef, in which students transformed their learning into powerful works of art and advocacy to be showcased in a professional gallery setting—amplifying student voice beyond the classroom and into the broader community.
