As is everything at Da Vinci Schools, learning is hands-on, authentic, and grounded in the real-world.

Three Da Vinci Schools Receive 2024 Purple Star Designation

We are enormously proud to announce that Da Vinci Communications, Da Vinci Design, and Da Vinci Science all have earned the 2024 California Purple Star distinction, joining a select group of just 127 schools throughout the state to receive the honor this year. Da Vinci Communications, Design and Science were the only schools in L.A. County to receive the 2024 designation. Col. Mia Walsh, Commander of the Los Angeles Air Force Base, presented the Purple Star School Awards at the Da Vinci Schools Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 28th. 

Most CA High School Seniors Have Not Met the "A-G Requirements" to Apply to the State's Public Universities

This month EdSource released its analysis of the 2023 A-G requirement records from the California Department of Education and found that most high school seniors in California are shut out from applying to the state’s public University of California and Cal State universities. Celebrating Our Student Athletes' Success on National Signing Day

We are thrilled to share that four Wiseburn Da Vinci student-athletes officially signed a Letter of Intent to play sports in college at a ceremony for family and friends on February 7th marking National Signing Day.

WDV Athletics Update: Record-Setting 2023-24 Year

Da Vinci Design Celebrates Students in their First-Ever Presentation of Learning (POL) Excellence Awards

On February 2, 2024, Da Vinci Design hosted their first-ever Presentation of Learning (POL) Excellence Awards Breakfast to honor and celebrate 11 Designers who went above and beyond in their POLs last semester. Designers’ families were invited to attend the awards breakfast and each Designer, who received recognition, presented a portion of their POL to the audience.

DVS Students Attend Youth & Government's Model Legislature and Court in Sacramento

Over President's Day weekend, 28 Da Vinci Science students embarked on a transformative journey at Youth & Government’s Model Legislature and Court program. This four-day event, which drew over 2,000 students from across the state, provided a platform for young minds to debate bills, create proposals, and argue significant issues that affect our state and country. As students assumed the roles of legislators and advocates, they were tasked with researching, writing, and presenting on various topics ranging from education and healthcare to environmental protection and civil rights.

Advancing Career-Connected Learning with Education Leaders from Across the Country

Earlier this month, Da Vinci Schools brought together 60 leading educators, higher education partners, and innovation change agents from 40 different participating schools and organizations for a gathering on career-connected learning, in partnership with Transcend Education. The event was hosted by Da Vinci Institute. 

Summer Camp Registration Opens March 1

Get ready for 2024 Summer Camps! The Wiseburn + Da Vinci Summer Athletics Camps are for incoming students in 4th-12th grade. Students of every level — those with athletic experience and those just starting out — are welcome to partake in the six-week-long summer camps!

To register your child/ren, please visit summerinwiseburn.org beginning on March 1, 2024. Financial aid may be available for Summer Athletics Camps for qualifying families. Last day to request financial aid is March 8.

The Wiseburn + Da Vinci Summer Athletics Camps are made possible by a team of staff and leaders from Da Vinci Schools, Wiseburn USD, Da Vinci Schools Fund, and Wiseburn Education Foundation.

Da Vinci also will be offering enrichment camps this summer, including Robotics, Art/Ceramics, Graphic Design, Board Games, Youth & Government Debate, and our first-ever Performing Arts camp. More information is forthcoming and will be available on March 1 at summerinwiseburn.org. All enrichment camps will be open for enrollment no later than March 15, 2024.
