Alumni Spotlights
Our Da Vinci graduates are members of a strong alumni community. We are so proud of our Da Vinci alumni who are excelling in college, career and life!
Chason Robinson (DV Design ‘13) received his B.A. in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and his Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. Chason is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with more than a decade of experience in home and center-based interventions for children and young adults. He currently works at Let's Talk! Therapy Center.
Manuel Rivas (DV Science ‘13) transferred from El Camino College to UCLA and graduated in 2021 with a B.S. in Computer Science. Manuel works as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon.
Christine Omotayo (DV Design ‘13) received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Government and a MBA – both from UC Riverside. She also did post-graduate work in Public Policy Analysis at The University of Edinburgh. Christine is a certified HR professional and currently works as a Human Resources Coordinator for NBCUniversal.
Theo Bolas (DV Science ‘16) graduated from UC Berkeley in 2020 with majors in Integrative Biology, Economics, and Molecular & Cell Biology. In 2020-21 and 2022-23, Theo served as a project manager for Village Health Works in Burundi, East Africa, and was part of a team that opened Kigutu Hospital to provide healthcare in one of the poorest rural villages of Burundi. Theo earned a Master’s degree in Global Health Economics from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2022. He is currently a second year student in the MD/MBA program with Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School.
Leilani Dexter (DV Communications ‘22) is a third-year Computer Science major at Howard University. Leilani was recently selected to be part of the Fall 2024 Women's Business Enterprise National Council Women of Color Incubator to further her entrepreneurial journey. She was a finalist for the Black Girl Ventures (BGV) NextGen Pitch Competition as part of the 2024 NextGen Accelerator. She is currently a student teacher at Howard University’s Research Institute for Tactical Autonomy (RITA), delivering hands-on robotics classes twice per week in connection with its university affiliated research centers.
Jaylon Jones (DV Communications ‘22) is a third-year student studying Political Science and History at Stanford University. He serves as a Research Assistant in the History Department and was recently selected as one of 20 students to participate in the Stanford Law Scholars Institute for underrepresented students interested in exploring careers in the legal field. He also serves as the 2024-25 Dean of Membership for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is the founder and president of The United Afro Student Organizations, a network of student groups that promote cultural awareness, social justice, and community engagement among African American students and allies.
Franki Johnson (DV Connect High ‘23) is a second-year student at UCLA double majoring in English Literature and Communications, and minoring in African American Studies. Franki is deeply interested in research and is participating in two separate research projects through the UCLA McNair Research Scholars Program and the UCLA RAP Lab. Franki is especially interested in research at the intersection of disability and race, and is working toward entering a PhD program next year. While at Connect, Franki satisfied her lower division English courses and statistics through Connect’s dual enrollment program.
Isaac Milsap (DV RISE ‘24) now works at DV RISE supporting the Creative Wisdom Tools and Indivisible Arts program. He also will be leading the launch of RISE’s first peer-to-peer program to provide peer-based mentorship and mental health supports to students. Isaac also works at Better Youth Inc., where he is focused on founding a new program to support young adults with the professional skills needed to succeed in the working world.
