B'nai Mitzvah . . .

My name is Charlotte Joy Sussman and my Bat Mitzvah was on December 21, 2024.

     For my mitzvah project I have been working with children in our JQuest program on Sundays. As an artist, I wanted to find a way to contribute to my community using my talents and vision. With the help of Deb Rosen, I spent time with various classes creating individual art that I collected and then used to construct larger work for everyone to enjoy - and to beautify our space!

     This project has helped me to find purpose through my artistry and to feel like I can be useful and make a difference. I attend Springfield middle school, where I am on the 7th grade softball team and in the drama club as well as band.

     I like to draw, paint and go to summer camp and spend time with friends.

My parents are Benjamin and Kelly Sussman. (I am the granddaughter of Rabbi Emeritus Lance & Liz Sussman)
