Introducing Tonya Wilson
St. Anne's Mead new
Life Enrichment Coordinator
Certified by the International Council of Dementia Care Practitioners, Tonya Wilson brings 13-years of life enrichment and memory care experience to the residents of St. Anne's Mead!
Tonya seeks to inspire residents and staff to enjoy their time together. She believes life enrichment is a calling, not a job.
Over the years, a mantra Tonya adapted is, “Working hard for something you don’t like is called stress. Working hard for something you love is called passion.” She is passionate about working with seniors!
In January, one of the first things Tonya did was meet with the residents to talk about their activities calendar for February. "I believe in first things first. And meeting with my residents and involving them in their activities is imperative," said Tonya.
Together, they planned the following activities for February. "From socialization to art therapy, pet therapy, exercise, movies and music, I believe life enrichment is an integral part of health and wellness," she said.
Moving forward, Tonya looks forward to building relationships and adding joy to the residents lives, while celebrating the little things, which, she adds, "are truly big things."
