Christmas at Grace: Incarnation

Sunday, Pastor Matt Cassidy discussed the miraculous Incarnation of Christ as the linchpin of all of creation through a sermon focusing on John 1:14-18. In this final Sunday morning installment of our Christmas series, Dr. Cassidy explored the eternal implications of the Word becoming flesh, exhorting us to turn to Christ: the one whose grace upon grace allows us to see the glory of God.

All-Staff Christmas Party: Christmas with a Twist

Grace's staff loves to have fun and spend time together! Last week the staff of Grace gathered for a time of team-building competition, creativity and fellowship. Six teams competed fiercely in two challenges, ending the party with laughter and conversation over lunch.

Challenge One Winners:

The Gilded Six

The first challenge of the day consisted of a series of events designed to test the players' coordination, balance and speed. Team Gold – The Gilded Six – handily won this Survivor-style gauntlet which began with a beanbag-toss and ended in a word scramble.

Challenge Two Winners:

The Pickled Grinches

The second challenge was designed to test the players' unity, creativity and adaptability. Each player created a painting based on their team's given theme, incorporating a three-dimensional element into each masterpiece. Team Green – The Pickled Grinches – won with a series of clever word puzzle paintings.

Congratulations to our Christmas with a Twist winners, and a special thanks to the 2022 Christmas Party Planning Committee! What a fun way to spend the day together as a staff, celebrating the Christmas Season with joy and cheer.
