The Life of David:

How to Love an Enemy

Sunday, Pastor Kevin Maurice continued our fall series on the Life of David with a sermon from 1 Samuel 24 and 26. In it, Dr. Maurice examined David's forgiveness of King Saul and discussed how we can apply the principles found in this story to our own lives. To love our enemies, we must see them the way God sees them, trust God for justice and forgive them with healthy boundaries. Let's lift our eyes from the enemies before us to Jesus, who died for us while we were still enemies so that we could become the children of God.

Adult Baptisms at Grace

Sunday, December 31

Baptisms will take place during the service on Sunday, Dec. 31, and again during Summer Kick-Off in early June 2024. Baptism applications must be submitted by Sunday, Dec. 10 and pastoral meetings held by Friday, Dec. 15 in order to participate in the Dec. 31 baptism.

We also love to celebrate baptisms with smaller communities of believers at Grace! If you’re interested in being baptized with a group with whom you’re connected, we can arrange an interview and then set up a time to be baptized in a public pool, lake, backyard, etc. Please complete the Baptism Application form and contact Dr. Kevin Maurice, Pastor of Adult Ministry, for more information.

Night to Shine

Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation

Friday, Feb. 9

Grace Covenant Church is proud to serve once again as a host of Night to Shine 2024, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. The unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, celebrating people with special needs will be held in person by host churches around the world simultaneously on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024.

To host this special event, we are calling again on the generous hearts of Grace and members of the community to serve as volunteers for the night and in preparation for it. There are 200-300 volunteers needed to bring the night together and make it magical for our honored guests and their families and caretakers.

The application to be a volunteer for Night to Shine 2024 will open in early November, first to the people of Grace and then to interested individuals in the greater Austin community.
