Full STEAM Ahead:
Interactive and hands-on sessions for participants ages 8-14 that will focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) development.
Wednesdays, September 1-November 17, 4-6 pm

Kids in the Garden:
Kids 6-10 will get to learn about extended growing seasons, make their own DIY greenhouses, and more.
Thursday, September 2, October 7, November 4, and December 2 from 4-5 pm

Little Music Makers:
Children ages 3-6 will be introduced to several instruments over a 5 week period while exploring rhythm, movement, and developing coordination.

THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM (FSS)
The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) is a voluntary program for households enrolled in the public housing, Housing Choice Voucher, or project-based Section 8 programs that helps them increase their earnings and build financial capability and assets.

The Escrow (Savings) Account:
When a participant’s rent increases due to an increase in earnings, the amount of the increase is placed in a savings account for the participant. A participant is eligible to receive all of the money in the account, plus interest once the FSS Contract is complete.

Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
Cone Health is offering a series of mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics throughout our communities.


VACCINES ARE FREE. No ID Required. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

Please wear a mask, plan to remain socially distanced, and wear loose clothing.

What To Expect
  • Wait time of 15 minutes after vaccination or 30 minutes with prior history of vaccination reactions.
  • Common side effects: pain and swelling at the injection site, fever, chills, tiredness, and headaches
  • For Pfizer and Moderna clinics, you will receive an appointment date for your second shot

IMPORTANT: Pfizer clinics are for ages 12+. All other vaccine types are 18+.

Who is eligible?
We double dollars from either a SNAP/EBT card swipe, or we will double cash if you are a SNAP/EBT, P-EBT, or GCCN Orange Card card recipient.

How does it work?
Simply come to the market information booth before shopping and we will double up to $50/weekly from your EBT card or cash. You will receive tokens that can be used at either of our markets. The tokens never expire.

What can I buy?
Any SNAP-eligible items, like:
  • Bread from local bakers
  • Fresh produce of all kinds
  • Plants to grow your own food
  • Eggs and dairy items
  • Sweet treats
  • All kinds of meats
  • Prepared food to go (including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free options, and more.)
