RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE:
Low Income Household Water Assistance Program
Households that have had their water services cut off or are in danger of being cut off can apply for assistance in paying their bill through the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP). LIHWAP is a temporary emergency program that will help eligible households and families afford water and wastewater services.
The program provides a one-time payment directly to the utility company. LIHWAP runs through September 2023 or until the funds run out.
Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP)
The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a federally-funded program that provides a one-time vendor payment to help eligible households pay their heating bills. Applications will be accepted from January 1, 2022, through March 31, 2022, or until funds are exhausted.

All Kids Network
All Kids Network is dedicated to providing fun and educational activities for parents and teachers to do with their children. The website has hundreds of craft ideas, worksheets, printable activities, and more.

Popular subjects on the website include math, reading, writing. They even have basic concepts worksheets for preschool and kindergarten children.
FREE BOOKS!
  • Each month a high quality, age appropriate book will be mailed to all registered children from birth to 5 years old.
  • There is no cost, and no strings attached.
  • During registration, parents will need to provide an email address, child’s date of birth, name and mailing address.
  • In 6-8 weeks your first book will arrive.
Attention to all graduating Seniors and Parents, as well as adults looking to further their education by returning to college. The Bryan J. Pierce, Sr. Community Outreach Scholarship is now available. You do not have to be a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church to apply.

  • High School Seniors or Adults looking to further their education may apply
  • Current resident of a No Greater Love community: Hampton Homes, Claremont Courts, or Ray Warren.
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or above

OPPORTUNITIES FROM GHA:
THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM (FSS)
The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) is a voluntary program for households enrolled in the Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, or Project-Based Section 8 programs that helps them increase their earnings and build financial capability and assets.

The Escrow (Savings) Account:
When a participant’s rent increases due to an increase in earnings, the amount of the increase is placed in a savings account for the participant. A participant is eligible to receive all of the money in the account, plus interest once the FSS Contract is complete.

About the Fresh Mobile Market Program:
Fresh Mobile Markets are free mobile food pantries that distribute fresh produce, bread, meat, and shelf-stable items to qualifying families on a monthly basis throughout 20 locations in the Piedmont Triad. Families can expect to leave a Fresh Mobile Market with at least 65 pounds of food. We currently serve over 3,000 families every month.

Families seeking to receive from Fresh Mobile Markets:
Our Fresh Mobile Markets are specifically for families with children 0-18 years of age. Participating families must qualify by income and are eligible to receive food from a Fresh Mobile Market once a month. In order to receive food, families must first complete a form provided by an Out of the Garden Project representative or through our QR code. Please refer to the schedule provided above for a location and time near you.

Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
Cone Health is offering a series of mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics throughout our communities.


VACCINES ARE FREE. No ID Required. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

Please wear a mask, plan to remain socially distanced, and wear loose clothing.

What To Expect
  • Wait time of 15 minutes after vaccination or 30 minutes with prior history of vaccination reactions.
  • Common side effects: pain and swelling at the injection site, fever, chills, tiredness, and headaches
  • For Pfizer and Moderna clinics, you will receive an appointment date for your second shot

IMPORTANT: Pfizer clinics are for ages 12+. All other vaccine types are 18+.
