HOT TOPICS:

***GHA residents pay a $27.00 registration fee and can attend for free. You must fill out the membership application and submit a copy of your lease.***

Non-GHA residents (14 and up) come for $10/month after the $27 registration fee.

Get My Future is a specialized website for people, ages 14-24. The site provides tools and information to explore career ideas, gain insight into their work values/interests, and find local job assistance.

More Information

The Affordable Connectivity Program helps qualifying households save up to $30 monthly on Internet service. Over 70,400 households in North Carolina's Sixth District are saving money each month on their Internet bills through this critical program.

However, if Congress does not reauthorize funding for the program in the FY2024 budget, which must be passed before February 2nd, then funding for the program will expire by mid-2024.

Family Self-Sufficiency Program

The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) is a voluntary program for households enrolled in Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, and Project-Based Voucher programs to help them increase their earnings and build financial capability and assets.

Shift_ed serves all 28 high schools in Guilford County Schools with supports that help students discover the opportunities waiting for them after graduation – and take the steps to achieve their goals.

Youth ages 13-17 are invited to come and roll with us every Third Thursday through March! We'll have skating, fun music, and snacks. There will be a limited number of roller skates available to borrow. This event is free and no registration is required.

CAREER AND JOB TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:

9:30 AM-12:30 PM, Mon. through Thurs.

This specialized job search training program is designed to help women navigate a successful job search process. Participants will explore topics such as Building Confidence, Networking, Job Search Strategies, Resume Development, Interview Skills, and much more! Additionally, participants will receive ongoing support from our Program Director, including individual appointments, job leads, and other career-related information.

Cone Health is offering a series of mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics throughout our communities.

VACCINES ARE FREE. No ID Required. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

Please wear a mask, plan to remain socially distanced, and wear loose clothing.

What To Expect

Wait time of 15 minutes after vaccination or 30 minutes with prior history of vaccination reactions.
Common side effects: pain and swelling at the injection site, fever, chills, tiredness, and headaches
For Pfizer and Moderna clinics, you will receive an appointment date for your second shot

IMPORTANT: Pfizer clinics are for ages 12+. All other vaccine types are 18+.
