Lewis Recreation Center is holding its first-ever Black Business Expo! This networking event celebrating Black-owned businesses will feature guest speakers, music, and local vendors selling their goods and services. The event is from 12-3 pm, and admission is free.

The Guilford County Parks, Trails, and Open Space Comprehensive Master Plan is a visionary blueprint that will shape the recreational landscape of our community fo for the next decade. This comprehensive plan will be a collective vision for immediate, short-term, and long-range recreational needs and interests, providing a roadmap for the future.

Community members are invited to share their ideas and actively participate in shaping the future of Guilford County Parks.

The Family Self-Sufficiency Program (FSS) is a voluntary program for households enrolled in Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, and Project-Based Voucher programs to help them increase their earnings and build financial capability and assets.

***GHA residents pay a $27.00 registration fee and can attend for free. You must fill out the membership application and submit a copy of your lease.***

Non-GHA residents (14 and up) attend for $10/month after the $27 registration fee.

Get My Future is a specialized website for people, ages 14-24. The site provides tools and information to explore career ideas, gain insight into their work values/interests, and find local job assistance.

Youth ages 13-17 are invited to come and roll with us every Third Thursday through March! We'll have skating, fun music, and snacks. There will be a limited number of roller skates available to borrow. This event is free and no registration is required.

Greensboro Urban Ministry (GUM) is urging artists to craft an original, colorful design. Submitted designs should depict a general holiday or winter-themed scene that appeals to individuals irrespective of their faith or ethnicity. Participants have the opportunity to upload images of their drawings or paintings to the GUM website until April 26, 2024. The competition is open to artists aged 16 and above who are residents of Guilford County.

The winning artist will be awarded a $3,500 stipend and receive exposure to thousands within our community.

Each household may receive FOUR FREE at-⁠home COVID-19 tests this fall.
