Effective May 1, Judith McCowan assumed the reins of UCP Central PA. A nonprofit veteran with 30 years of transformational leadership experience in early childhood, education, inclusion and disability services, Judith brings a new style of leadership, a new energy, and most significantly, a new vision for the organization.
The announcement that ran in the May 4 Central Penn Business Journal serves as a quick introduction to Judith and gives an overview of the impressive array of knowledge, skills and abilities she brings to UCP.
Judith has spent the past several months working through an informal transition period. During that time, she traveled from program location to program location across UCP's 17 county footprint, learning the intricacies of UCP's complex program and service offerings and developing an understanding of the obstacles faced by our operations teams. She also became familiar with UCP's organizational structure, financial models, and the people who make it all work for our consumers.
