Support this year's Mission Trip!
|
This year 18 members of SPY will travel with
Fr. Anthony and their chaperones
to Gatlinburg, TN from July 7-15!
Please support their efforts with a
Mission Trip Sponsorship.
If you wish to sponsor the Mission Trip,
we ask that you donate $50 and keep those on the Mission Trip in your prayers (you will be assigned an individual to pray for as well).
As you can see from the video below,
this annual trip is a source of pride for our St. Peter's Youth, as they work together to make a difference in the lives of others.

Judy Himes Awarded
David P. Hegg II Award!
|
On June 10, 2018, 67 members of the diocese were honored with the David P. Hegg II Lifetime Achievement Award at the 22nd annual Senior Ministries Evensong, held at St. Peter's Church in Morristown with the Rt. Rev. Mark M. Beckwith, Bishop of Newark, officiating.
Our own Judy Himes received the Hegg Award at the lovely Evensong service on Sunday, June 10, and many of her friends from St. Peter's were there to support here.

End-of-Summer Choir Camp
|
Summer choir camp for children will be offered from August 27 through August 31, 2018. Children entering third grade in September and older are invited to participate. Rehearsals are held daily in the choir room from 10:00 - 11:30.
Children will participate in learning to read musical notation, rhythm exercises, pitch matching and recognition, note learning, vocal skills, and group singing. Offerings will also include how to navigate the
Hymnal 1982
, service music, and the
Book of Common Prayer
. No prior musical training is required.
Last summer the choristers learned 8 - 10 new anthems which were sung during the church year. Early preparation of the year's repertoire pays huge dividends as the school year becomes increasingly busy with schoolwork and activities. Daily activities include a short snack at half-time. A short noon worship service will be offered by the children on Friday, August 31. Fee is $60.00 payable to Saint Peter's Music Ministry. For more information contact
[email protected]
, or call 973-377-9068.

Sunday School & Family Church
|
Family Church
We had a wonderful final Family Church of the season!! Thank you to our readers: Sophia Khan, Nadira Khan, Samantha Wohltmann & Joseph Wohltmann. They all read so beautifully! We were blessed to have THREE ushers: Dylan Negrotto, Zachary Bivona and Frankie Hunkele who all worked hard and looked handsome! And Lyla Khan and Alexandra Hunkele did a super job of getting the wine & bread down the aisle without spilling a drop or leaving a trail of breadcrumbs :)
I can't wait for Family Church to resume again in September!!
Sunday School
Have a great summer!! Come to church when you can--despite the summer break from Sunday School, remember at St. Peter's, children are ALWAYS welcomel :) I'll see you there!
With Faith & Love,
Dana Leach

Nursery Care Returns in September
|
Nursery Care
Sadly, last Sunday, June 10th, was our last Nursery Care for the summer. Nursery Care for 3 year-olds and under will resume after Labor Day.
THANKS to Ann Szalay and Michelle Perry for safely caring for our littlest parishioners! On a sadder note, Michelle Perry has told us she has accepted a full-time job at the library so won't be back with us this fall. She has been guarding our littlest ones for about 15 years!! We will miss Michelle, but wish her the best of luck!
