Sunday Readings
A Word From Rev. Kathy
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Annual Youth Retreat at Spruce Lake a huge success! We enjoyed a wonderful weekend of prayer, worship, conversation, hikes, outdoor sports and indoor sports at the gym, and many, many board games. We also held the first annual Spruce Lake Bake-Off with entries of homemade cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting (the dough “proofed” next to the warmth of the fireplace) and oatmeal, chocolate chip, and pretzel cookies. The friendships that are made at Spruce Lake are maintained and the intergenerational sharing and mutual respect are models of Christian community. Please enjoy these photos of the retreat!

Blessings—Rev. Kathy

Looking Ahead - to Lent!
In 2023, a much-loved Lenten tradition will return in a new format—online daily Scripture reflections written by members and friends of our congregation. This will be a way to encourage the congregation to make the journey through Lent together (February 22-April 8), sharing our reflections and prayers.
Please consider being a part of this project by writing a reflection.

More details will be coming soon! If you have any questions, please contact Susan Daywitt or Rev. Kathy.
A Note From Deacon Johnine
Dear Ones,
Last week Mary Schwager and I delivered ten handmade lap blankets to the residents at the Peter Becker Community and the Birches community at Arbour Square. Here is the picture of us delivering the blankets to one of the employees at the Birches. They were greatly received and appreciated at both places.

Thank you to the knitters and crocheters who created these beautiful garments of love and peace.

All my best,
Your deacon,
