As more and more of you arrive to campus, we wanted to reach out and say hello! Your Cyclone Home is the cozy center of your Iowa State experience - and we're here to help you every step of the way.

Our housing and dining departments will be connecting with you via email every Friday with updates, information, things to do and more. Your Community Adviser is someone who lives on your floor or in your apartment complex. Be sure to say hi to them at your area's desk! Plus, a CA is always on duty if there's something you need after the desks close.

For those of you already here - welcome!

For those of you not here, we'll see you soon! Be sure to check out this page if you have any questions about move in or campus living this fall. Before you get to Lied, make sure you fill out the this pre-test questionnaire before you start the check-in process.

And, please arrive at your scheduled time (anytime within the hour). There is no benefit to arriving outside your time frame or at the beginning of the day. That backs the lines up. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding!
Processes and Personal Health
How can you stay healthy? What if you get sick? What's the difference between quarantine and isolation? All those questions and more can be found on this comprehensive COVID-19 processes and personal health page. Read through it so you know what to do while you're at Iowa State!
Isolation, Quarantine and Exposure
When someone tests positive for COVID-19, a case investigator reaches out to them. They will be directed to isolate (either at home or in on-campus isolation housing). Case investigators also talk with that person to learn who else might be exposed.

Exposure is determined by being within six feet of a positive person:
  • for more than 15 minutes
  • within two days of an asymptomatic person’s positive test OR within two days of a positive person’s symptoms starting

If a person is exposed, they will be directed to quarantine (either at home or in on-campus quarantine housing).

A case investigator will contact you if you meet the criteria for exposure. If you don’t meet that criteria, you won't be contacted.

At anytime, contact Thielen Student Health at 515-294-5801 if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. This symptoms page is updated continually as the CDC continues to learn more about COVID-19.
