Life’s Journey
You and I are on a journey together. That journey is to remember to speak and act as though there were
no one else present but
Jesus Christ Himself. Wouldn’t that be life-changing?
Why? Because there seems to be a global epidemic of living for peoples applause and approval. There seems to be a pressure to prove oneself and to get others to affirm and validate one’s worth.
Yet Jesus says, “How can you believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?” John 5:44
As we ponder our own weakness here, may we never forget that we were created
to live for an audience of One
, the One who created, forgave, and redeemed us.
May we all daily, seek the praise and
approval
of God alone and resist the temptation to conform or submit to the status quo. John 12: 43
