The Savior Lives,
I greet you in the name of our risen LORD and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Known by many names: Messiah, King of the Jews, The Coming One, LORD, King of Kings, the Son of David, Son of God, Son of Man, Teacher, Prophet, Servant, and my favorite, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace. Jesus goes my many names because He meets all needs.
This Sunday is Resurrection Sonday. Resurrection Sonday for the Christian is the pinnacle of our faith, because it represents the unmistakable revelation of God’s redeeming love for His children. It’s in the name of Jesus where the fallen have been restored. It’s in the name of Jesus where the lost, the hurt, the fearful, the stressed can find solace and redemption. It’s in the name of Jesus that the redeemed of the LORD can and should celebrate.
This Sunday, I finish part three (3) of the sermon series entitled, “What Do You Say About Jesus.” Please, let us come and worship this Sunday as a community and faithful band of believers in the greatness of our God. In preparation, please one again study St. Matthew 16:13-23.
