Peace and blessings,
I have a question for you; have you ever considered what pleases God? Think about it. What does or what can the creation do to please the Creator? Ok, so you may be thinking that when we praise or worship God, that God is pleased, that’s a good thought. Or maybe, when we serve or we are obedient to God’s will or God’s voice and follow through with what God calls us to do that God will be pleased, sounds good. But what if the Bible describes a particular word—among others—that blesses and stirs the heart of God?
Perhaps there have been times in your life where you have looked to please someone? For instance, you care for an individual, you enjoy their company, and you are thankful that they are not only a friend in deed but also a friend in need. And because they hold a special place in your heart, you want to do something meaningful for them that you know will please them. What does that act look like? What do you give someone who has absolutely blessed your soul so much so, that you would do all you can to please them?
This Sunday we will teach about what it takes to please God. I ask that you read the entirety of Hebrews Chapter eleven (11) in preparation for this week’s message. Also, this is first Sunday, so for those in our virtual audience, please have your communion elements prepared for worship.
Peace,
Steadfast, Immovable, Excelling in the LORD
