Blessings,

This Sunday, we welcome to the pulpit for our L.I.T. Worship, a gifted preacher named Reverend Tiffany Burch. Highly credentialed and Spiritually seasoned, she brings not only a message for our youth, but a Word that is sure to minister to every soul.

In the Book of Jeremiah, God shares the following: “I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” The scripture not only references how God prepares messengers or Ministers to teach God’s word, but how God equips Ministers with Spiritual manna purposed to feed those who hunger for more from God. That’s what’s so endearing about worship. We come not only to meet and greet fellow believers, but we come to be fed God’s truth and thereby increase as a family in the knowledge, strength and power of the Almighty.

As always, I invite you to join us in worship this Sunday, either in person or virtually, so that together we may be nourished by God. In preparation, please study and meditate on these two verses of scripture; Mark 1:12-13.

Peace,

Bishop Dr. Mark W. Thompson, Senior Pastor

COMMUNITY RESOURCES

"The Georgia Department of Labor is committed to supporting every worker affected by the federal government shutdown," said Georgia Labor Commissioner Bárbara Rivera Holmes. "Millions of workers across industries - from manufacturing to healthcare - depend on stable government funding to keep paychecks coming and operations running. A lapse in funding threatens not only livelihoods, but also the momentum of our economic recovery. Protecting jobs means protecting families, communities, and the future of our nation. The time to act is now."

Federal employees who have been furloughed may be eligible to apply for unemployment insurance benefits. Claims can be filed online at https://dol.georgia.gov through the MyUI Claimant Portal or in person at one of GDOL's 34 career centers statewide. To make information easier to access, GDOL has set up a dedicated webpage where federal workers can find up-to-date guidance and resources - all in one place.
