Blessings,
The Bible teaches us the importance of friendship. It highlights the importance of choosing your friends wisely and the value of having people in your circle who uplift and encourage you. For example, in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, it says, “two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls one can help the other up.”
This is a big part of why God made us to be in community. We were never expected to take this life journey alone. The circle of people you have around you is important for many reasons. But there are some people who do not get to be in your circle. Not everyone deserves a front row seat in your life.
How do we discern what we need in a Christ like friendship? When do leave relationships that are no longer serving us? Luke 5:17-20 invites us to explore the idea of faithful friendship. Join me as we hear from God the answer to the question “What about your friends?”
See you on Sunday,
