Ancestral Blessings,
This Sunday, I continue the sermon series entitled, “Between a Rock and a Hard Place." The teachings have centered on the hand of God working in the life of Peter, based upon God’s praying Church. On Sunday, we take a further look into what happens when the people of God, gather to worship, and pray for one of their own; in other words, the power of a praying Church.
God’s Church is not only a group of individuals that pray separately, it is a congregation that has learned the power of praying together. An individual of a Church, Mosque, Temple, Synagogue etc., gains insight strength and well-being when we come together as one in prayer. Consider this; we will never change the world by going to church, but we can change the world by being the church. To say that thought in another way, we go to Church to become the Church in order that the world can benefit from the Church in action.
I am praying to see you this Sunday as we continue our study focused on a praying Church Family. Once again, please study Acts, the twelfth Chapter in preparation for Sunday’s Word.
Peace,
Pastor Mark W. Thompson
