Your Generous Contribution and Tax Savings,
Your Impact for the Future of LifeCare Alliance!
When you make a contribution to LifeCare Alliance directly from your IRA, you help us meet the growing need for basic needs in our community, while making a tax-efficient gift. You may know that the IRA Rollover Law has been permanently extended, which means that you can make a distribution to LifeCare Alliance from your IRA without paying income taxes on the contribution. In addition, gifts to our Legacy Endowment Campaign can be doubled, as a generous anonymous donor is matching gifts to our endowment up to $5 million!

 Helpful Tips:
  • You must be at least 70 ½ years old.
  • You must decline goods or services.
  • Rollover may not exceed $100,000.

To make a gift:
  • Send a letter to your IRA administrator requesting a direct charitable distribution to LifeCare Alliance in the amount you wish to donate.
  • Include the agency's Tax ID number: 31-4379494.

If you would like to connect with a local professional adviser, please visit our resource directory online . While LifeCare Alliance does not endorse advisers, the members of our Legacy Endowment Advisory Council are well-informed about LifeCare Alliance programs and services, as well as the $5M match opportunity.

Not yet 70 1/2 years old?
Not to worry!
There may still be ways to maximize both impact and possible tax benefits that may be available. Take a look at some of the options below as you think about your annual gift.

  • Give a gift of appreciated stock.
  • Give a multi-year, bundled gift. This will be a great way to maximize tax benefits in 2018, while ensuring your impact for several years.
  • Double your impact this year through a Challenge Gift! An anonymous donor is matching new or increased annual donations in 2018, up to $200,000. Mark your donation “Challenge Gift” and you will help feed the seniors and medically challenged in our community who are most in need.

Your Gift in Action:
  • $2,500 delivers meals and in-home services to a homebound older adult for 1 year.
  • $1,000 helps prevent homelessness for a family battling cancer.
  • $500 provides fifty transportation trips for clinical visits for our clients.
  • $100 feeds a low-income family battling active cancer or HIV/AIDS through our pantry for 1 month, including supplements, personal hygiene items, and household cleaning products.
