Celebrating Older Americans Month
At LifeCare Alliance, serving older adults is at the heart of what we do! With your help and support, we continue serving record numbers in our community, with increases of 68% over the past two years – and increases of over 50% still today. Your generosity has made it possible to provide critical, basic needs support for our homebound neighbors—things like food, assistance with cleaning or personal care, or even help obtaining pet food for a beloved companion animal.
You may have heard that many groups across the country have had to double or triple waiting lists over the past two years. However, thanks to your support, we have been able to accept all those in need who qualify. Thank you for helping us Nourish the Human Spirit!
During this Older Americans Month, we hope you will consider getting involved. Join us in support today as we provide compassionate, responsive, quality care for our seniors!
If you are interested in remembering LifeCare Alliance in your will or estate planning, we would welcome the opportunity to connect. To learn more, or to schedule a time to meet, contact:

Many household tasks can be difficult, or even dangerous, for senior and medically challenged individuals. Doing the laundry, changing the bed sheets, dusting, or vacuuming, are some of the activities that can become unmanageable or hazardous for a senior who is at risk of falling.

We strive to ensure that seniors can live safely and independently in their own homes, and caring staff members from our Help-at-Home program are critical to the fulfillment of this mission.

Direct Care Support professionals help with daily duties like light housekeeping. Personal Care Assistants perform more intimate care such as bathing and dressing based on the client's needs.

There is a national shortage of individuals to perform these services, and NBC4 recently helped us share a plea for more staff to help with this critical work.

Do you know someone who might like to work with Help-at-Home and help Nourish the Human Spirit of our senior neighbors? Contact Program Director Alli Chrzanowski!

"The Meals-on-Wheels program has been beneficial for our Huntington team to maintain volunteering especially since working remotely. Our team enjoys being able to connect with clients and volunteer in the community."

-Brian Mercer and his Huntington Easton Corporate Meals-on-Wheels team, winners of the 2022 Corporate Leadership Spirit Award

More Updates
April was National Volunteer Month, and we took the opportunity to celebrate the 'World of Difference' our volunteers make in the community! Six volunteer appreciation events were held across central Ohio. Delicious meals were provided by L.A. Catering, and Spirit Awards were presented to many of the individuals and groups who made a particularly incredible impact in 2021. Thank you to each and every one of our amazing volunteers!
Columbus Cancer Clinic named
Free Clinic of the Year!
The Columbus Cancer Clinic has been named the 2021 Free Clinic of the Year by the Charitable HealthCare Network and the Ohio Department of Health. This award recognizes a free clinic for going beyond the call of duty for the community it serves. It is fitting that the CCC should receive this honor in its 100th year, as the Clinic has stood the test of time and continued a legacy of care while innovating to face today's challenges. Congratulations to the Columbus Cancer Clinic!
