End of Year Planning - Maximizing Your Impact and Your Tax Benefits!
As we welcome the fall season, it is a great time to begin considering year-end giving. This year, many in our community of support are exploring creative ways to maximize both impact and possible tax benefits that may be available. We invite you to consider the options below as you think about your annual gift.

  • Your gift of appreciated stock or other marketable securities can help our clients, and may offer significant tax benefits.

  • Your multi-year, bundled gift may be a great way to maximize tax benefits in 2018, while ensuring your impact for several years.

  • Your planned gift may be an important part of your commitment to LifeCare Alliance - both now and in the future. Did you know that we have a $5 million match for all gifts to our Legacy Endowment Campaign? We invite you to consider a planned gift to LifeCare Alliance in your will or estate, to ensure your legacy of support. To honor those who have made a planned gift, participants can be part of the Catherine Nelson Black Society.

If you would like to connect with a local professional adviser, please visit our resource directory online . While LifeCare Alliance does not endorse advisers, the members of our Legacy Endowment Advisory Council are well-informed about LifeCare Alliance programs and services, as well as the $5M match opportunity.

In addition to this $5 million endowment match, you can also double your impact this year through a Challenge Gift! Our anonymous donor is continuing to match new or increased donations in 2018 - up to $200,000. Just mark your donation “Challenge Gift” and you will help feed the seniors and medically challenged in our community who are most in need.

Join us as we celebrate our ambassador models who are all cancer survivors.

All proceeds will support the Columbus Cancer Clinic through the Heather Pick Spirit Fund.

Heather was the morning news anchor at WBNS 10TV who shared her battle with breast cancer with viewers. Heather lost her battle in 2008, but left a legacy by choosing the Columbus Cancer Clinic as the permanent endowment for her Spirit Fund.

Every year, the Columbus Cancer Clinic helps thousands of people with prevention, detection, and hope as they deal with both cancer and the economic devastation the disease can impose.

Volunteer Spotlight: Joy Forster
Joy Forster has been volunteering in the Columbus Cancer Clinic since June of this year, and has been such a valuable addition to our our team! She spends her time going to food pantries and other community events where she can share the services the CCC provides with those she meets.

Joy shares,"Some women have not had mammograms for many years, and are very interested in getting one. They are often relieved to hear that there is transportation available if that is an issue for them. They are glad to be reminded about the importance of mammograms, and want to move forward."

LifeCare Alliance is grateful to have volunteers, like Joy, who are willing to give their time to better care for our clients. To find out more about volunteer opportunities, contact volunteer@lifecarealliance.org.
