Thank You for Your Support in 2018!
|
|
The holidays are upon us and because of you, LifeCare Alliance has so many reasons to be grateful! This year marks the 120
th
anniversary for the Agency and we continue to carry out our founder, Catherine Nelson Black's, mission of "...taking care of those no one else pays any attention to." Thanks to the generous support you have given through donations and volunteer hours this year, LifeCare Alliance has helped more than 20,000 central Ohio clients remain safe, independent, and living in their own homes — where they want to be!
As you consider your year-end giving, we hope that you will continue your support for LifeCare Alliance. You can
double your impact by taking advantage of two match opportunities
!
- Challenge Grant – Your new or increased gift will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $200,000 in 2018!
- Legacy Endowment Campaign – You can double your permanent impact through our Legacy Endowment Campaign. An anonymous donor has generously committed to matching the first $5 million in endowment gifts!
Did You Know? Your Year-end Gift can Maximize both Your Impact and Tax Benefits!
- Your gift of appreciated stock or other marketable securities can help our clients, and may offer significant tax benefits.
- Your multi-year, bundled gift may be a great way to maximize tax benefits in 2018, while ensuring your impact for several years.
- Your IRA Rollover may be the most tax-efficient way for you to give to LifeCare Alliance if you are 70 ½ years old. The IRA Rollover Law has been permanently extended , which means that you can make a distribution to LifeCare Alliance from your IRA without paying income taxes on the contribution.

Subaru Share the Love 2018
|
For the eleventh year running, the Meals on Wheels network — including LifeCare Alliance — is participating in
the Subaru Share the Love® Event
. Over the past ten years, Subaru and its retailers have helped Meals on Wheels deliver nearly 2 million meals nationwide to seniors in need.
Why does Subaru support Meals on Wheels? Too many seniors are struggling to stay independent and healthy. One in four seniors lives alone in isolation and one in seven seniors might not know from where their next meal is coming. This is simply unacceptable, which is why LifeCare Alliance provides the nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks to our homebound friends and neighbors in central Ohio. This vital support keeps seniors in their own homes, where they want to be.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
This November 15, 2018, through January 2, 2019, for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to the customer’s choice of participating charities. Meals on Wheels is one of four national participating charities and has been since the inception of the event. Through this event, as a member of Meals-on--Wheels America, LifeCare Alliance will receive a share of the donation from Subaru vehicles sold in Ohio.

Program Spotlight:
Help-at-Home
|
|
This holiday season, you can make a senior from your community feel extra special by adopting a client from our Help-at-Home program. By adopting one of these individuals, you would be providing a special gift of toiletries, food, or other items to help make their holiday special.
If you are interested in adopting a client for the holidays, please call our Help-at-Home program at 614-278-3149.
Help-at-Home provides homemaking and personal care services to older adults living in Franklin and Madison counties. The goal is to help seniors live in the comfort of their homes and to maintain an independent lifestyle. A caring staff member can help with daily duties including cleaning around the home, running errands, kitchen duties, and laundry.
