Summer is a Great Time to Plan!
|
|
While summer of 2020 has been different than any of us would have expected, it can still be a wonderful time to regroup, refresh, and revisit your goals for the future. Whether that involves working from home, adjusting to the new way of life, or gradually resuming activities, your estate planning is an important part of ensuring a meaningful impact for the future. Many in the LifeCare Alliance family of supporters have recently made a decision to include the Agency in their will or estate plan - and there has never been a better time to notify us of your plans. Your planned gift to the LifeCare Alliance endowment can be matched dollar-for-dollar!
Since January 2018, LifeCare Alliance has been on an accelerated journey to increase the Agency’s endowment from $10M to $20M. This effort has been bolstered by an incredible $5M anonymous matching gift - and there is still time for your current or deferred gift to be matched. A fully funded endowment will provide roughly $1M in annual revenue, enabling the Agency to continue accepting all those in need without a waiting list for critical basic needs services. As traditional funding sources continue to erode, this is the key to future success.
If you would like to discuss how to plan a meaningful gift to the Legacy Endowment Campaign, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Do You Prefer Immediate Impact?
You may benefit from the CARES Act Charitable Deduction Expansion, which could be helpful as you consider your annual support. Donations to LifeCare Alliance's annual fund go directly to providing critical daily support for those in need.
- Under the CARES Act, individuals utilizing the standard deduction will be able to reduce adjusted gross income by up to $300 on their 2020 individual income tax return.
- If an individual itemizes deductions, the previous 60% of adjusted gross income limitation on charitable dedications has been suspended for 2020.
We encourage you to consult your tax advisor to learn more, or reach out to discuss how you can maximize your annual gift to LifeCare Alliance.
