Annual Meeting
Sunday, January 25th
At 10:45 AM
(Following The Church Service)
Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be held Sunday January 25, 2026 at 10:45 AM, immediately following the church service. One of the many topics for this meeting includes voting on a couple of administrative changes to the church’s Constitution and By-Laws. The proposed changes regarding the church’s mission statement and meeting quorum definition are shown in the chart shown at the end of the article, below.
During the meeting, we will also approve the 2026 Spending Plan for Ministries and vote on church officers. This is your opportunity to learn what is happening in your church and to voice your opinion on the Spending Plan, ministries, and other on-going projects.
Because a quorum of voting members is needed (Based on the current rules in place, this is 15% of our membership.), we urge all adults and confirmed teens to attend. Without a quorum, we will be forced to reschedule the meeting.
| | You can place your donated clothing into the bin provided in the church entryway. Thank you in advance for your generosity! | | |

(If you have not submitted you Estimate of Sharing card, please do so before December 17th.)

We hope to reach our goal of $18,000 in donations prior to the summer of 2026.

Fellow Congregants:
As you know, last month our pastoral candidate withdrew from the call process. We understand that sometimes during this process, either the pastor or the congregation may make such a decision, for reasons of their own. We respect the time and consideration that the candidate gave to Lord of Life.
Normally, we could expect to wait many months for a new candidate to be provided to us by the Synod. However, we were very fortunate on this occasion and received the name of another candidate just a few days after the original candidate withdrew.
The committee has begun examining the candidate’s experience and qualifications, and we have completed an in-person interview with the candidate. The committee felt very positive about the pastor’s abilities and compatibility with the programs and goals of Lord of Life. We have extended an invitation for another meeting. As we continue the process, we will learn all we can about the candidate and determine, to the best of our abilities, how well he/she will meet the needs and desires of our congregation.
Please keep us, and the candidate, in your prayers as the Spirit leads us to the next pastoral leader of Lord of Life.
Yours In Christ,
Judy Lerner

The 13th Gift: A True Story Of A Christmas Miracle
By Joanne Huist Smith
This is a heartwarming Christmas story about how a random act of kindness transformed one of the bleakest moments in a family's history into a time of strength and love.
After the unexpected death of her husband, Joanne Huist Smith had no idea how she would keep herself together and be strong for her three children, especially with the holiday season approaching. But 12 days before Christmas, presents begin appearing on her doorstep with notes from their "True Friends." As the Smiths came together to solve the mystery of who the gifts were from, they began to thaw out from their grief and come together again as a family. This true story about the power of random acts of kindness will warm the heart, a beautiful reminder of the miracles of Christmas, and the gift of family during the holiday season.

December Health Focus:
