Faith Formation Findings
resources for everyday faith living
“Lifelong faith formation in the ELCA is guided by our baptismal covenant and the Holy Spirit's ongoing guidance as we live among God's faithful people, hear the word of God and share in the Lord's supper, proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed, serve all people, following the example of Jesus.

Christmas Faith Practice:
“Light a Candle”
Winter is upon us; the days are short and the nights are dark, now. Find a candle that you can light everyday dinner. This simple practice of lighting a candle reminds us that Christ, the Light of the World has been born again and will light our lives, and the long nights will end and the light-filled days will return. In the meantime, we have a reminder of Christ in our homes.
Pray this: Holy One, we thank you for bringing Christ into our midst, bringing Light and Love. Amen
The Webinar: Digital Ministry and Leadership in Today’s Church introduces the key themes and practices in the new book written by a team of experienced leaders who bring years of experience in utilizing digital tools, methods, and media in church life and especially faith formation. The Digital Ministry and Leadership book and webinar will provide you with practical ways to (1) bring digital approaches, tools, methods, and media into church ministries (worship, faith formation and learning, prayer, and spiritual formation) and (2) extend the ministry of the local church into online spaces and communities where more and more people gather to nurture, explore, and share their faith today.

Our synod has been invited to participate to invite congregations to a life of faith. Come, see what it is about on Jan. 9th at 7 PM via Zoom. Register here!
