The Board of Directors of the Lifesaving Society, Alberta and Northwest Territories Branch is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Kusyanto as Executive Director.

The appointment is the result of a public posting and multi-stage interview process. We wish to thank everyone who applied to the position for their time and for their support of our goal to empower Alberta and Northwest Territories residents to be safe in, on, and around the water.

As Executive Director, Jonathan brings extensive experience in both aquatics and leadership. He has worked with pools and waterfronts across Alberta and the Northwest Territories and is an active member of Lifesaving Sport community. He has been a long-term volunteer, employee, and advocate for the Lifesaving Society and holds a series of Lifesaving Society Commonwealth Awards for his service. Most recently, Jonathan has served as Acting Executive Director since September 2022. The Board of Directors is confident that his experience, energy, and passion will deliver quality service to our members and affiliates, as well as support to our employees.
