New Day Vietnam

Greetings all,

When we started the Guest House several years ago, we knew the need was real, but we didn't realize just how much of a blessing this would be to so many! Full to capacity nearly every night, we hosted over 320 people in the first six months of this year alone, representing nearly 200 children, most of whom were hospitalized for heart surgery.

These families are all low-income, and many are very young, from distant rural locations, and have never been to "the big city." The burden of finding an affordable place to stay and decent food to eat only adds to the stress of worrying about their children's health and future.

In addition to providing safe, clean, home-like housing, food, and fellowship, the proximity to the hospital has been a big help to these families. A short 10-15 minute walk away, these moms and dads can visit the hospital multiple times a day when their children are hospitalized.

We are now hoping to open a second guest house to serve similar families near the large Children's Hospital in another part of our city where the need is even greater. This is the oldest and most well-known pediatric hospital in southern Vietnam, but also one of the most crowded.

Our local staff has created an informational video (see link below) that will help you learn more about our Guest House. We think you will enjoy seeing some of the children and families we have been privileged to host. Please forward along to others you know that might have interest. Together, we can be "hands that lift" to those most in need.
