28 Dec 16: Question

An organization which I strongly support sent me an email this week with this in the subject line: "Question."

Recognizing the sender and the subject line, I opened it.

They were asking for just a little more money before the year ends.

They are a large, prestigious organization.  I thought, if they can do this, so can the Light Green Machine Institute.

So, can you spare a few dollars at the end of the year to support the Light Green Machine Institute?

We are a 501c3 organization, so your donation is tax deductible.

We are ranked by Guidestar.

We are in the Amazon Smile Program.

So, you might ask, what do we need money for?

Granted, we run this organization as lean as any you will find--

--we pay no salaries

--we pay no rent

Our only overhead is the software used to produce this newsletter and the costs of our tax and legal filings each year with the appropriate authorities.

But that adds up.

And we would like to do more.

We would like to be able to organize some committees (we have the volunteers already in some cases).

We would like to do more publicity.

We would like to have the funds to start some design prize style initiatives.

It all takes money.

It is easy to donate--just go to the bottom of this page and you will see how easy.

So, please consider doing so today.

We will find a way to recognize you as a donor, should decide to be an active participant in our efforts.

If this sounds familiar, remember last week I told you we were going to run the same column this week as we did then?

We will back with hard hitting new content in the New Year.

Have a great holiday season.

Jim
