Past LGMI conference presenter Wayne Bucher reached out to us with alternative approaches with possible applications in the pulp and paper industry:

I thought about applications in the paper industry when I read this article.  Weight savings alone would likely not be a convincing argument, but if space and power were also valuable constraints, maybe the combination would push towards this type of technology. Table 2 has some strengths and weaknesses outlined in comparison.
