SPRING IN ACTION!! SPECTACULAR SEMESTER!! "So often you find that the children you're trying to INSPIRE are the ones that end up inspiring you." - Sean Junkins We have been having a SPECTACULAR time at our TEN Scooby Doo after-school program locations this semester! Our engaging lessons and wild & crazy games have drawn in allot of kids every week! The children are learning powerful messages that will impact their lives as they grow. Messages that instill the importance of not being jealous of what other people have, how powerful our words can be to help or hurt those around us, and prejudice is pre-judging people, will stick with these children for a LIFETIME. Our hope is to engrain POWERFUL TRUTHS in the heart of each child that sits on our tarps. Our partnership with the Harford County Health Department has also allowed us to teach on the dangers of smoking and vaping in a fun and engaging way through the WE Scare Because We Care program. Each session concludes with snacks, Panera bread donations and fun prizes! Each child will also receive a graduation hat along with the message "We Will Thrive & Not Just Survive"! We strive to make every moment we spend in these communities impactful and engaging. Each child deserves to feel loved and have hope for the future! We are so thankful for each and every one of our volunteers who give weekly by making phone calls, visiting and volunteering at the sites; sharing words of encouragement, smiles, hugs and lots of love for our kids and their families. It is because of our AMAZING team of volunteers that our message reaches the masses in such a fun and engaging way! While our spring session is coming to an end, we will continue to visit and love on the children in each community through our Bridge of Hope program and visitations. We will also be sending many of our children to a fun-filled week of Christian Summer Camp! School supplies will be collected through the summer as well so that each child is equipped before the start of the next school year. Please check our website at Our Wish List for a list of supplies. All donations are due back to the EFO office no later than Tuesday, August 16th.    "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. We Scare Because We Care! Thank you to the Harford County Health Department for your continuous partnership as we educate the children, young people and parents on the dangers of tobacco use.
