Join Vets International in Kenya: Veterinarian-led VI Gives Educational Trip and Safari
This VI Gives trip supports Veterinarians International's initiative to build veterinary capacity in Kenya.
Despite Kenya's extraordinary wildlife, there are very few veterinarians trained to work in the field. Vets International helps fund training for top vet students to gain valuable hands-on fieldwork at Loisaba and Ol Pejeta Conservancies.
On this extraordinary journey, you'll visit the University of Nairobi to meet motivated faculty and students, then head into the field for unforgettable experiences. Daily safaris, behind-the-scenes access to conservation teams, community visits, and up-close encounters with wildlife including the last two northern white rhinos make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In Memoriam: Dr. Lauren Semanchik
Our community is mourning the tragic loss of Dr. Lauren Semanchik, a compassionate and talented veterinarian whose life was cut short by domestic violence. Lauren's passing is both heartbreaking and deeply personal as it occurred in my neighborhood and to the daughter of a friend of mine.
Witnessing the grief in our community reminds me of how fragile life is and how we need to support one another. The fact that her life was taken by a state trooper has brought more attention to the unique fears faced by those in relationships with law enforcement, and more is now being done to support and protect individuals in those situations.
